The program is designed to produce electrical engineering technicians for the following industries; manufacturing, assembling, servicing, power generation, transmission distribution and utilization, telecommunications, and other related
- Assembling, servicing, power generation, transmission, distribution industries. More specifically, a diplomate of the programme should be able to:
- Construct simple electrical and electronic circuits when necessary for use in modification or as a part of a system
- Assemble, install and test run electronic/electrical installation, equipment
- Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on simple appliance electrical installation, equipment, and appliances
- Select and use appropriate instruments to carry out simple tests an installation and equipment under various operating conditions
- Operate relevant equipment and installations
- Prepare simple bills of quantities
- Coordinate and supervise craftsmen in activities related to electronic engineering services
